Job Description:
Join Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB), Michigans largest general farm
organization, as an AMD Claims Representative. At MFB, we are
dedicated to defending the rights and economic interests of our
members, focusing particularly on agricultural and farming
communities. In this role, you will be essential in managing and
processing accident, medical, and dental (AMD) claims, ensuring
prompt and accurate support to our members facing losses. Evaluate
and process accident, medical, and dental insurance claims in
accordance with policy provisions and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with policyholders, medical professionals,
and other stakeholders to gather necessary claim information.
Perform detailed investigations, assess damages, review medical
reports, and determine claim validity. Coordinate with healthcare
providers to ensure accurate and efficient processing of medical
documents and claim settlements. Provide exceptional customer
service, advising members on the status of their claims and guiding
them through the claim process. Maintain accurate records of all
claims activities and ensure compliance with policy conditions and
legal requirements. Work collaboratively with other departments to
resolve complex claims issues while upholding the mission and
values of Michigan Farm Bureau. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills Effective communication and interpersonal
skills Proficient in claims management software and relevant
computer applications Ability to handle high-stress situations and
manage multiple tasks Knowledge of insurance policies and
understanding of the medical terminology commonly used in claims
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified
Claims Professional (CCP) accreditation preferred Relevant training
or certification in medical billing or insurance might be
advantageous
