Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s degree in Physical
Education, Kinesiology, or a related field, Adapted Physical
Education (APE) certification, and 1 years Adaptive PE Teacher
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available
for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support elementary
school students in Ypsilanti, MI. This full-time, contract position
spans a full semester, starting immediately and continuing through
June 5, 2026. The role centers on delivering adaptive physical
education services tailored to the needs of young learners,
ensuring inclusive and effective physical activity experiences.
Responsibilities include: - Developing and implementing adaptive PE
curriculum for elementary students - Assessing student abilities
and creating personalized activity plans - Collaborating with
teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning
environment - Monitoring student progress and adjusting programs as
necessary - Maintaining accurate records and communication with
parents and administration Qualifications: - Active Michigan
teaching certificate with the appropriate adaptive PE endorsement -
Bachelors degree in education or related field - Experience working
with elementary-aged children in an adaptive PE setting preferred -
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively
