The Respiratory Therapist will provide care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions with exceptional care, because their life depends on it. Responsibilities: The respiratory nurse is responsible for carefully assessing and monitoring a patient’s progress in order to watch for sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition that might require immediate action or emergency intervention.
