people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Assess surgical patients
before and during procedures and create individualized plans of
care Implement, evaluate, and adjust intraoperative care to
maintain patient safety Lead and supervise the OR team to ensure
smooth, coordinated procedures Assemble, verify, and set up
surgical equipment and supplies for each case Monitor and maintain
the sterile field and ensure adherence to aseptic technique Assist
anesthesia and collaborate with physicians and ancillary
departments Communicate clearly with patients, families, and
multidisciplinary teams Document perioperative care accurately in
the medical record (Epic) Participate in preceptorships and
continuing education to grow team skills Qualifications Active
Michigan RN license (LARA/Nursys verification required) Minimum 2
years of RN OR experience — required Level 2 trauma experience —
required Proficient in Orthopedics, Vascular, Neuro,
General/Gynecology, and Urology Current American Heart Association
BLS (AHA) — required Recent travel work experience is highly
preferred Completed skills checklist pertinent to Operating Room
(within 1 year) Two supervisory reference forms completed within
the last two years Knowledge & Skills Patient assessment and
individualized perioperative care planning Intraoperative nursing
and sterile field management Equipment setup and familiarity with
common OR instruments and robotics Anesthesia assistance and
coordination with anesthesia providers OR team leadership and the
ability to anticipate room needs Clear patient/family communication
and multidisciplinary collaboration Accurate documentation in Epic
EMR Strong situational awareness in trauma and high-acuity surgical
