Job Description:
Selected candidate will work as a member of an Agile Development Team with a focus on providing expertise on all aspects and all levels of Software Testing and Software Quality. In addition to this direct role, said candidate will help guide on practices and tools that would better support projects using Scaled Agile Frameworks, especially in area of automation and early defect detection. Candidate will mentor and provide expert technical assistance to others in the Testing Community. Our client is a Fortune 500 company and has been in the automotive business for more than 100 years. Skills Required:
Proven skills must be as such to excel at following duties:
• Creating and maintaining Release Train testing plan and strategy documents
• Coordinating Iteration and Daily test activities with the project team
• Translating written or verbal requirements and functional specifications into test cases, ensuring that test cases cover all testable business requirements and application layers (e.g. presentation, application and backend)
• Ensuring development/execution of functional and system thread test plans and scripts, utilizing standard testing tools (e.g. HP ALM, HP QTP, Cucumber, LoadRunner, WinRunner) and processes
• Ensuring adherence to test case standards and guidelines
• Developing and executing performance/load test scripts
• Ensuring performance/load testing is conducted to meet performance targets and critical acceptance criteria using appropriate testing tools
• Reviewing testing tools/processes with project team and provide instruction in their use . Improving testing patterns/frameworks
• Identifying, documenting, and ensuring resolution of testing issues  
• Ensuring accurate recording of defects and helping facilitate defect remediation .
• Leading integration and certification testing
• Advising on testing metrics collection and reporting
• Contributing to testing standards and participating in standardization committees
• Mentoring less experienced Test Specialists on Agile testing processes and writing effective tests/test cases, especially in the area of Lean Testing and Specification by Example
• Advising testing community on industry standards, best practices and directional trends
 
Experience Preferred:  
• J2EE Development Skills
• 10+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT with at least 5 years experience in testing and at least 3 years on a Agile Team
• Deep understanding of J2EE development process, system environments, their main features, limitations and performance characteristics
• Application development or business analysis experience
• Must be able to lead, direct and influence others at various technical and managerial level
• Demonstrated high level of communication skills and teamwork to work with global team
 
Education Required:  
• Bachelor"s degree in a related technical field (or equivalent work experience), or degree level qualification in computer science or related discipline
• Master"s degree in a related field is desirable
• Completed advanced education/training or gained experience in testing and quality
• Testing and or Quality Certifications desired
