Job Description:
TransForce, a premier leader in CDL staffing and compliance
services, seeks a dedicated CDL A Switcher to enhance our
transportation operations. The selected candidate will be
responsible for executing safe and efficient yard management,
including the movement of trailers and containers to designated
docks or parking zones. This role requires acute attention to
detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate
heavy vehicles under varying conditions. Safely operate a yard
truck to move trailers and containers to appropriate docks or
parking lots based on operational needs. Conduct pre- and
post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance
and compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with dispatchers
and warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely movements
based on shipping and receiving schedules. Maintain clear and
accurate records of all movements and report any issues or
discrepancies to the management immediately. Comply with all
company policies and legal regulations regarding transportation and
handle all operations with a safety-first approach. Proficient in
operating heavy vehicles, specifically yard trucks. Strong
understanding of yard operations and traffic management. Excellent
communication and coordination skills. Ability to work
independently and respond effectively under pressure. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required. Specific training or
certifications in transportation safety and operations
preferred.
