Registered DieticianThe Villa is seeking a multi-facility Registered Dietician to join their team in the suburbs of Metro Detroit! The Registered Dietician is responsible for providing nutritional meals per patients/resident care plan, including planning patient meals, providing direction for nutritional therapy, and documenting patient intake.Registered Dietician Duties and Responsibilities:Understands and follows nutritional requirements for population, as learned in formal educational training.Provides diet instruction and counseling to residents and their families.Collaborates with nursing, medical, social services and other interdisciplinary staff to determine further plans of care, both at and between scheduled care conferences.Supports the kitchen in menu development and approving appropriate menu substitutions as needed.Follows resident assessment, care plan, and charting requirements.Plans patient meals and completes required paperwork/updates computer systems to communicate plans to other staff.Properly stores and handles food, maintains temperature and temperature logs.Ensures kitchen safety and disaster preparedness.Analyzes and monitors patient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals.All other duties, as assigned.Registered Dietician Qualifications and Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, including understanding of dietary terms.Keeps current in clinical nutrition and dietetics, food system management, and state and federal regulations.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Able to listen to patients/residents with active listening.Strong organizational skills.Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.Registered Dietician Education and Experience:Associates degree in dietetics or nutrition required.See Dietary Technician for unregistered professionals.Completion of a dietetic technician program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the ADA.Experience in industrial food production preferred.Prior experience working in a long-term care facility a plus.Physical Requirements:Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.Villa Healthcare Benefits:Daily Pay & Competitive Compensation401(k) with company matchBlue Cross Blue Shield Medical insurance.Dental, Vision, and Disability insuranceInnovative Training ProgramsAccess to Villa Perks, an Employee Discount Program!Up to $225/month incentive for food, gas, childcare, and medical bills.Opportunity for Growth and AdvancementPaid Time OffApply to join a growing team today!SHARED CODE OF CONDUCT:B.E.T.T.E.R. is Villas Service Excellence Code of Conduct.
