  • GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician.
  • Performs related functions according to department protocols.
  • Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

    • State License Requirements: Must have a valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist.
      • Additional Details
      • PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: --- Work in the hospital with a fixed unit and/or in the IPD/OR/ER, etc. with a mobile unit.
      • May be potentially exposed to radiation if proper precautions are not utilized.
      • May be exposed to high-voltage equipment.
      • May be exposed to potentially contagious patients.
      • Occasionally may lift and/or move equipment and/or patients that would be in excess of 10 lbs.
